A distinctive feature of these devices is the following: compressed air enters not only the installation, but also the abrasive dispenser, which significantly increases the speed of the released air stream.
- Vacuum. The operating principle is as follows: an abrasive substance is applied to the contaminated base, immediately picked up by a vacuum and again thrown onto the contaminated area. May be used for certain activities that may cause damage to surfaces in the immediate vicinity.
- Injection. Distinctive feature: air and abrasive mixture are supplied through different hoses. The power of the unit is small, so the device is not able to cope with significant pollution over large areas. However, for delicate cleaning this is the most acceptable option.
Sandblasting treatment options
Thanks to such installations, it is possible to tidy up various types of surfaces using:
- Easy cleaning – removal of minor rust and scale. The result is a clean base, but some dirt may remain in hard-to-reach areas.
- Medium cleaning – involves more thorough measures to remove paint, dirt and rust. Result: there remain pinpoint areas covered with corrosion.
- Deep cleaning, providing ideal cleansing of all kinds of contaminants. It is used if the next stage of work is to apply paint and varnish.
Types of installations
